19岁的少女丸西登米（芹明香 饰）与家人生活在大阪旧赤县一个底层百姓聚集区，精品这里贫穷、精品堕落，生活全然没有半点希望。登米和母亲（花柳幻舟 饰）为了生计都沦落风尘，家中还有一个白痴弟弟实夫（梦村四郎 饰）。不过即便是母子，也会为了恩客的钱大打出手。随着时光流逝，年老色衰的母亲失去往日风采，原本属于她的客人渐渐流到女儿那里，母亲面临失去收入来源的威胁，但是她和女儿的关系却无法得到缓和。登米和实夫生活在一起，为了生计不遗余力，在这过程中她见识了周遭各色人等，这些人都与她一样，过着黑暗和无望的人生……
