明朝正德十六年，亚洲页朱厚照突染重疾，亚洲页命在旦夕，因膝下无子，只能将皇位传给远在湖广的堂弟朱厚熜。 兴王朱厚桢为夺取皇位，意图在朱厚熜回京途中进行劫杀。朱厚熜为顺利回京，假借慕容镖局“人肉镖”为幌子，骗过兴王朱厚桢及其党羽。几方势力在风月客栈狭路相逢，由此展开了一场涉及朝堂社稷和江湖儿女的厮杀。
