私家侦探陆卓，亚洲影视为人自负，亚洲影视性格乐观，身手不凡。富商许承天之独女嘉欣，自从十六岁那年开始便恶运缠身。某日，嘉欣竟被人掳去，不知所踪，承天万分焦急，欲报警，却被继室莉莉和胞弟承坚阻止，遂决定聘请陆卓，寻觅嘉欣。为了慎重起见，承天委派属下张君令协助陆卓调查。二人本不咬弦，无奈看钱份上，唯有勉强合作，在侦查过程中，惹出不少笑话。
