亨利·戈尔丁饰演一名因背负了复杂过去而隐忍的独行者，眠山代号蛇眼。一次偶然，眠山他救下了岚影一族的准接班人，从而被邀请加入他们在日本的组织。在那里，岚影一族不但教会了蛇眼如何成为一名忍者，也给了他一直想要的一个家。但当蛇眼过去的秘密被逐渐揭开，他的信誉以及对组织的忠诚也将受到考验，即便这会使他会失去最亲近的人的信任。特种部队原著中的经典角色也将在《特种部队：蛇眼起源》中一一亮相。
