一年前的一次问心游戏，日韩原本是同学的阿健（吴浩康饰）、日韩阿泽（萧正楠饰）阿健、阿喜喜欢的人都是富家女阿淑（傅颖饰），而阿淑喜欢的人则是正与好姊妹阿丽（邓丽欣饰）拍拖的阿勤（李逸朗饰）。众人自此各有心结。阿勤更无端失踪。一年后，阿淑从国外回国，邀请大家到自己的别墅去叙旧。刚入住不久，便有很多离奇的事发生，每有一个人失踪或被杀，其中一间客房便多一个黑掌印出现，剩下的3人各自猜测，互不信任。当各人都人心惶惶之际，更出乎意料的事发生了。

回复 :在上世纪六十年代，本片也许称得上是007系列间谍片的最佳翻版电影了。理查德·约翰逊扮演剧中的男主角休·卓曼——一个风度翩翩，性格温和的保险业调查员，他独自一人前往追踪两个妖艳、性感的女杀手——埃克曼及帕尼罗贝，她们甘愿充当“肉体炮弹”，引无数男人竞折腰，从中取乐并获得可观的报酬……一位石油公司的高级主管在吸了一支雪加烟之后，神秘地死在了自己的私人包机上。公司董事会怀疑其中有诈，便雇请了卓曼来调查此案。原来，英国某大公司为了控制某阿拉伯国家的石油开采权，于是不择手段地派出两名美女杀手，指使她俩用美人计到处去暗杀商业竞争对手。从雾都伦敦到阳光明媚的地中海沿岸，卓曼一路寻迹而来。他感到自己已经深陷一场猫捉老鼠的凶险游戏当中，再也无法激流勇退了，唯一的出路就是——与隐藏在幕后的大魔头决一死战……◎ 关于导演：《女人比男人更凶残》也许是最好的模仿007James Bond的电影了。主角理查德·约翰逊无论是俊朗潇洒的外型还是风流倜傥的气质都十分符合007电影的要求。而大反派奈杰尔·格林的阴冷表现也绝对令人印象深刻。两位养眼大美女艾尔卡·索莫和希尔弗·考斯茜娜在片中身穿比基尼泳装手拿鱼叉的造型很显然是向007电影《诺博士》乌苏拉的经典造型的模仿。整部影片融合了动作和悬疑等诸多的成功元素，并具有非常强的观赏性和娱乐性。

回复 :The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years.At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with.But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood.I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.
